About House of Omeed

House of Omeed is Persian for hope.

House of Omeed exists to strengthen, sustain, and inspire hope in the underground and persecuted Church in the Middle East. We walk alongside believers who follow Christ in some of the most restricted and hostile environments in the world—where faith is costly, public worship is forbidden, and church life must often remain hidden.

In places where persecution seeks to extinguish hope, God is doing the opposite. The Church in these regions, though largely underground, is alive, resilient, and growing. House of Omeed is committed to ensuring that underground church leaders and persecuted believers are trained, equipped, mentored, and spiritually supported, so they can faithfully shepherd God’s people, endure suffering with perseverance, and carry hope to others even in the darkest circumstances.

House of Omeed focuses exclusively on:

  • Leadership training and discipleship for underground church leaders
  • Mentorship and pastoral equipping shaped by persecution realities
  • Strengthening and sustaining underground church networks
  • Supporting persecuted believers who face imprisonment, surveillance, and social exclusion because of their faith

Our vision is not only to help the Church survive persecution—but to nurture hope for the day of freedom.

We believe God is preparing His Church in the Middle East for a future when the Church can move from underground to above ground. That transition will require spiritually mature, theologically grounded, and well-equipped leaders—leaders whose hope has been refined through suffering. House of Omeed exists to prepare those leaders now, so when doors open, the Church will be ready to steward freedom with wisdom, humility, and faithfulness.

House of Omeed was founded by Ahmad Zeividavi, who also serves as the Founder and Executive Director.

Ahmad was born blind into a Muslim family and later became a refugee at the age of 19. It was during his refugee journey that God opened his spiritual eyes and he encountered Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Out of suffering, God gave birth to hope—and that hope became a calling.

As a former refugee and a Muslim-background believer, Ahmad understands the cost of following Christ in hostile contexts and the daily realities faced by persecuted believers. Over the years, God has entrusted him with deep relationships within underground church movements and the responsibility of equipping leaders who serve faithfully under great risk. This lived experience shapes the heart, theology, and hope-filled posture of House of Omeed.

Through trusted and long-standing networks, House of Omeed supports and helps shepherd a large and growing underground church movement across the Middle East, consisting of thousands of persecuted believers and leaders who gather quietly in homes, small groups, and hidden fellowships—living testimonies that hope in Christ cannot be buried.

House of Omeed is a registered nonprofit organization committed to faithful stewardship, spiritual integrity, secure ministry practices, and partnership with churches and believers who share a heart for the persecuted Church and the hope of the gospel.
